What exactly is a PWA?
PWA stands for Progressive Web App. It's simply a modern web page, but one your phone is allowed to "install": it gets an icon on your home screen, opens full-screen without an address bar, and stores its content locally on your device. You won't notice a difference from a classic app — except that you never have to visit a store to get it.
How do you install a travel app without an App Store?
You get a link or a QR code. You scan or tap it, the app opens in your browser, and you choose "Add to Home Screen". Done — the icon sits among your other apps. No Apple or Google account, no download of hundreds of megabytes, no approval process. It works on both iPhone and Android.
Does a travel app work offline?
Yes. Once the app has loaded once, it keeps everything on your phone: your itinerary, your hotels, the phrases, the practical info.
